How Parties Work

Our concept is the same as many other home parties, you choose to host a party, invite everyone you can convince to come and we do a presentation on the benefits of various teas, your guests get to sample whatever types and flavours, peruse the many gift items, like tea pots, spoons, infusers, tea balls, as well as choosing their favorite teas from our vast selection. We also carry candles, hand etched glassware items, and many other very unique items. For your hospitality you will receive a cool hostess gift and a generous discount on the items you choose to purchase, based on the total sales of your party. So dust off those tea cups, coerce your friends, and let's have an afternoon or evening of fun and laughter.
For the most part, your guests items will be delivered right on the spot, no waiting, no delivering for you. Clean, simple and easy for you the hostess.
Tea-Parties is the concept of Kari Clarke and Marilyn Olsen after discovering the vast world of tea for their own enjoyment. While tasting (and collecting) many different teas, they discovered the many health benefits of tea, especially Rooibos and Green Teas. No strangers to the health and wellness field, Kari and Marilyn are both Doctors of Philosophy in Clinical Hypnosis, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists, Reiki Master/Teachers, and Master Remote Viewers. Kari is also a very talented Intuitive Palmist. Marilyn is also a Professional Stage Hypnotist.

Quantity of cups of Tea
In our 100 gram bags of tea expect to use 2.5 grams of tea per 8 oz cup of hot water.
This translates to approximately 22 cents per cup!
Tea Producing Countries
China - The birthplace of tea. ½ of the world's production occurred here prior to WW2, now this is only 10%. Chinese crop is 2/3 green tea.
India - The largest tea producer, producing 1/3 of the world's tea. Only ½ is actually exported as the rest is consumed locally.
Sri Lanka - (also known by its colonial name of Ceylon). One of the largest producers of tea despite its relative newness to the business. It has only been producing for 100 years. Tea here grows at high altitudes of 3000-8000 feet, with the most superior teas grown higher.
Japan - Japan grows almost exclusively green tea. Its population is avid tea drinkers so only 2% of their crop is exported. Tea plays an important role in the art, philosophy, history and daily life in Japan.
Taiwan - Portuguese traders called Taiwan "Formosa". Tea here is primarily oolong, a cross between black and green tea. Previously Taiwan exported a large percent of its crop but economic prosperity has produced a taste for tea within its population and now only 2% of its crop is exported.
Kenya - The third larges tea producer. Most of its estates are between 5000-7400 feet above sea level.
Other tea producing countries include Bangladesh, Nepal, and Vietnam etc. South Africa is the sole producer of Rooibos Tea.
